Noticed for Being Fit -- A Success Story

Isn't it great when someone notices you have lost weight?  There is something euphoric about having someone applaud your hard work and dedication to fitness.  If working out and eating right were easy, the obesity cases in America would be going down instead of surging.  Having an acquaintance say, "Wow, you look good!" can fuel your workouts and motivate you to not only stay committed to being healthy but to also spread your fitness secrets to others.

Recently, one of my clients told me about how she was noticed for being fit.  She has had a baby recently, her third, and gained a whopping 45 pounds during her pregnancy.  Within 8 months after delivery, she has lost 55 pounds and lost 8" off of her waist.  I taught her not only the proper exercise techniques to help her shed those unwanted baby pounds but also showed her how to eat healthy without going on a crazy crash diet.  After months of not going to the nail salon, she decided to go and get a pedicure.  While at the nail salon, the salon owner commented *in front of everyone* about how good she looked and how shapely she had become.  The salon owner said that my client looked to be in her early twenties which of course means that she looks about 10 years younger.  Not bad after having three kids. The salon owner asked her how she was able to lose so much weight and she replied, "I have a personal trainer."

My client has confessed to me that she does not have enough motivation to work out and really enjoys having a personal trainer who will ensure that she is maximizing her exercise time.  She could have spent countless hours at a gym trying out different equipment and not seeing satisfying results.  Or, she could have injured herself.  After having a baby, it is advisable to ease back into exercise and be extra careful to avoid injury.  Most mothers want to rush into exercise because they are so desperate to get their pre-baby body back.  My client was able to get her pre-baby body back and then some while being safe.

If you are struggling with weight loss or are having a hard time getting toned, seek the assistance of a personal trainer.  You will be glad that you did!
